Kavita Does Thailand – Dream Hotel & Spa Phuket
03:40A couple of months ago my boyfriend and I had a wedding in Taiwan to attend, and saw it only fitting to add a little bit of a couples holiday off the back of it. I actually spent a whole year travelling around Australia and Asia a few years ago, so have definitely got quite the *local knowledge*, so started brainstorming the perfect locations. We looked at both where flights from Taiwan to other places in Asia would take us for the price, and found Bangkok was incredibly affordable, at around #100 each for a one way flight with Air Asia.
Looking on skyscanner and clicking the dates we needed to give us enough time in our couples location, we clicked the option To as ‘everywhere’, so we could see just how affordable it could be. The flights from bangkok back to Manchester were also pretty affordable with Emirates, so we decided – Thailand would be the place!
Domestic flights are incredibly easy thanks to cheap airlines in Asia such as Air Asia, Nok air and Thai Smile (part of the Thai Airways group) so I knew that popping down to the south would be affordable (£30 each – RETURN!) and with the flight being only 1 hr 30 mins long (approx) it was finally decided.. Phuket was to be our couples holiday destination!

As this was going yo be our first ever couples holiday, I wanted it to be somewhere special, so had a little look at lots of resorts. I was fortunate enough to team up with DREAM hotel and spa down in Phuket, and was blown away. As we walked into the resort after our quick and easy flight, we were greeted with a welcome drink and a tour around the grounds.
As we walked into our room.. we instantly ran outside onto our balcony to see our own personal pool! If anything gives you complete couple holiday goals its a personal pool – it was such a lovely luxury for the few days we stayed there, and it was a pretty decent size to frolic in!

If that wasn’t enough however we could hotfoot it to the main pool downstairs which had a pool bar and many cabanas.
There was a restaurant onsite which we could order from if we didn’t fancy going into phuket town to find food (which we didn’t, and the restaurant had the best spring rolls EVER!) and there was also a pool on the roof which was great for taking pictures!
There is also an amazing Spa for all your relaxation needs, and my boyfriend and I definitely made the most of it.
If you ever get the chance I would highly recommend the Aloe Vera massage – I fell asleep because I was so calm!
