Sausage Sunday is a thing — we all know this.

So on said Sunday, it wouldn't be a surprise to see a fleet of Italian grandmothers riding around in pimped-out mobile homes, doling-out sausage delicacies, right?

Of course it wouldn't.

Part of us will always yearn for that delicious food grandma used to make, but the fantasy quickly vanishes when grandma is out of reach — unable to bring you that heaping plate of that favorite meal you so love.

However, as a handful of lucky Chicago residents recently discovered, sometimes grandma's cooking can be just a smartphone tap away.

Through a partnership with Uber, Johnsonville brought real Italian grandmothers, called “The Sausage Nonnas,” to the Windy City. Their mission: cook up a storm of homemade sausage dinner goodness, on a sausage Sunday, of course. Read more...
